Reading from the newspaper, Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has brought up an issue of people who didn't pay parking fees to be classified as criminal.
The collection of parking fees was the job of a company called Wawasan Ikhtisas Sdn Bhd. Some motorists has complaint to Chong Pit Fah, SAPP information chief, that they have received copies of summonses/parking ticket that say people who didn't pay for a parking fee be considered criminal. Also, these summonses were given from the Kota Kinabalu city hall on behalf of Wawasan Ikhtias, not by the company themselves.
Chong Pit Fah question the company for considering people who didn't pay for parking fee as a criminal. SAPP view this as an attempt to intimidate the people for the company do not such power to so. Another issue, why is the city hall giving out parking ticket which was supposed the job of the Wawasan Ikhtias. If city hall is going to control everything, why gives tasked to companies?
